About the Music:
Jazz duo Elissa Waller and Doug Brown are very excited to be part of this event for the second year in a row! Both have a strong connection to the mission of Gilda’s Club. Doug’s father was an oncology researcher, and his mother passed from cancer. Elissa was diagnosed
with a brain tumor in August 2020, and she just completed her treatment in January 2022! She’s a passionate advocate for adolescents and young adults with cancer (AYAs) and works to raise awareness of cancer in this age group whenever possible. Their
set will include jazz standards, 60s pop hits, and a few originals. Elissa and Doug are available for other events - Reach out to Elissa at ewaller@gmail.com for more information!
Our Therapeutic Expression programs are sponsored, in part, by Exact Sciences and UW Health Carbone Cancer Center.
