For kids grade 1-4. Get up close and personal with insects that live in our yards. View a sampling of live pre-caught insects in jars. Participate in a bug hunt. Examine and identify the bugs we find, spend some time studying and drawing their unique features, then release them to live out their lives. Jars, colored pencils, paper and ID guides provided.
Class taught by Melanie Barwise who is an art teacher and lifelong bug and nature fan. She has been enjoying, examining, drawing or photographing insects, and releasing them for as long as she can remember.
