In this presentation Katie Vine, from Genetic Support Foundation will provide an overview of genetic counselors, explaining their role and expertise. What's the benefit?: The benefits of this talk include gaining a clearer understanding of the role of genetic counselors and how they can assist in managing cancer risk. Attendees will learn to distinguish between hereditary and sporadic cancers, helping to identify when genetic counseling may be beneficial. By outlining what to expect from a genetic counseling appointment, this talk will help individuals feel more confident and prepared when meeting with a genetic counselor.
