Do you have questions about clinical trials or how you can get involved in clinical research? Please come participate in this workshop to learn about the process of clinical trials and why clinical trials are important in cancer treatment. We will discuss frequently asked questions and myths, along with sharing information and resources for how people can learn more or get involved in cancer clinical trials.

About Our Speaker Sarah Kotila, RN, BSN

Sarah Kotila is a nurse and the manager of the Clinical Trials Navigation Office at the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center (UWCCC). Sarah graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Nursing and has been a nurse for over 20 years. The majority of Sarah’s nursing career has focused on caring for patients with cancer, and Sarah was the recipient of the 2023 Health Care Hero Award from the Wisconsin Cancer Collaborative. Sarah and the Clinical Trials Navigation team at UWCCC provide outreach and education to patients, families, and referring physicians about clinical trials. Additionally, the team helps navigate patients to potential clinical trial treatment options at UWCCC and pre-screens patients for those potential clinical trial options.
