Finding Your Voice: A Writing Workshop Location: Gilda's Club Have you ever thought that you had something to say, but you didn’t know how to express it? Join us as we examine different forms of writing such as journal, memoir, personal essays, and short form fiction. We will examine topics like the writing process, resources for writers, and finding ideas. We will write and share in a non-judgmental setting that is meant to start us on the road to personal discovery. Your guide for this workshop is Richard Baker. Richard is a cancer survivor and Gilda’s Club member. He is a writer interested in creative non-fiction. His various articles and stories have received positive reviews and he has been encouraged to collect them into a book, which is in progress. Richard searches for the meaning of life from a kayak on the Wisconsin River as often as possible.
