Meditation for Wellness Location: Community Room, 7907 UW Health Ct., Middleton

Many studies tout the benefits of a regular meditation practice and you may already have experienced the stress-reducing effects of spending time in quiet. In this six-session class, we’ll learn together how as little as 10 minutes a day in meditation can change us in profound ways. Wear comfortable and layered clothes. No prior experience is necessary.

Mary has practiced meditation for over 20 years. She became serious about teaching meditation in 2015 and obtained her certification in 2017. She believes that cultivating a relationship with ourselves makes it possible to accept the daily challenges we face. And seven years of hospice social work taught her the importance of a gratitude practice. Mary enjoys spending time with her family, sewing, knitting, biking, reading and spending time in nature. She lives with her husband, Guy, and her kitty, Teddy Bear, in Madison, Wisconsin.
