The Transformative Power of Self-Compassion: Finding Growth Through Pain (OPEN TO THE PUBLIC)

Self-compassion is the ability to acknowledge our moments of suffering and to mindfully choose to respond to ourselves and challenging experiences with kindness. Research demonstrates self-compassion is a powerful tool to enhance well-being, increase vitality, and reduce emotional pain. With continued practice, self-compassion becomes a powerful source of coping and resilience, allowing us to find growth in difficult times.  In this workshop, we will discuss the transformative power of self-compassion in optimizing wellness and address common barriers to practicing self-compassion. Through discussion, interactive exercises, and guided demonstrations, participants will develop skills for responding in a kind, compassionate way, and will receive tools to help cultivate self-compassion into their daily lives.
