Therapeutic Art: Hanging Mobile Location: Zoom

Description:

Join fellow Gilda's Club members for an art group dedicated to Motivation. What motivates you? What inspires you? How can we continue to find ways to keep motivated and inspired each day?

Begin building a mobile to hang in a special place to help keep you motivated. Mobiles are always moving. Use your mobile as a tangible reminder to keep yourself moving, motivated and inspired! Add symbols and/or 3-D objects to represent the things that inspire you.

Materials You'll Need:

  • Two to four branches/sticks
  • Twine, string or yarn
  • Scissors

Optional materials:

  • 3-D objects
  • Paper
  • Drawing materials
  • Collage images (magazines or calendar images)
  • Gluesticks
  • Other materials of your choice that you have available

About Molly Linn-Miller:

Molly Linn-Miller has been working as a registered art therapist for 13 years. She provides art therapy and support for both individuals and groups.

She works with a variety of populations and ages including families living with cancer, those recovering from substance abuse, adults with living with autism, memory loss and other mental illness, and pre-school aged children.

Molly also paints large scale children’s murals and makes collages using a variety of traditional and non-traditional materials. In addition to art-making she enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys, cooking and eating food with her girlfriends, hiking and playing ultimate frisbee.
